The Holbrook Ranch is one of the largest privately owned ranches in Arizona. Located in Navajo County, Arizona, it covers over 42,000 acres. This ranch is home to many native species, including pronghorn antelope, coyotes, bobcats, and many more. Land

42,000+ of deeded prime grazing land!  Bookmarked between the town of Holbrook and the Petrified Forest National Park, there is no shortage of beauty and wide-open spaces. Several small grazing leases connect to the property to enhance the existing above-average carrying capacity.

Improvements

The property has a main house, several smaller guest houses, corrals and barns.  These improvements have not been used or occupied for many years and will need some renovation and improvement.  The Apache Railway runs through a northern part of the property for rail access.

Agriculture

The ranch has many level areas that would be ideal to incorporate alfalfa fields to increase your potential livestock capacity. There are 4 wells located around the property.  The Little Colorado goes through a portion of the western side of the property, and the seasonal Puerco River runs in and out of the property lines along the northern border.

While most of the mineral rights have severed from the property, potash deposits are plentiful and are available to the owner and will be passed on to the new owner.

General Operations

The Holbrook Ranch has a historical carrying capacity of 400 to 500 head of cattle.  With deeded land you can be the master of this capacity with improvements and that is very rare to find in Arizona.  The cattle on the property are for sale on a separate bill of sale.

Region & Climate

Holbrook has an elevation of 5,076 feet. The summers are hot, the winters are short and very cold, and it is dry mostly clear year-round receiving an average of 10 inches of precipitation annually.

History

The Holbrook ranch is a generational ranch that is currently held in Trust.  Please be aware that any prospective offers will need to be court approved so please allow time and allowances for such actions.  The owners will consider dividing the property into smaller sections if the division lines make sense to them.
