Nestled in the Lucerne Valley Region of Daggett County, Utah, the Pallesen Ranch is a multigenerational ranch that is well known for producing high quality Hereford cattle. The Pallesen ranch is a short distance from Manilla, Utah, the county seat, an the 92 mile long Flaming Gorge Reservoir. The Flaming Gorge reservoir is a fisherman’s dream, and offers great recreational water sports on its 42,020 surface area acres.

The Ranch house consists of approximately 1800 square feet with 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. There is a 20 x 30 shop with a 16 x 8 storage area above. There are two barns, one being a 40 x 60 metal building and the original barn is 28 x 48.

Recreation

The immediate area also has excellent hunting for elk, mule deer, and black bear and has a small population of Rocky Mountain Big Horn Sheep.

Agriculture

The Pallesen Ranch sits at approximately 7000 feet in elevation, and has 240 acres of irrigated ground under a pivot and wheel system. The ranch also features an additional 239 acres, most of which is sub-irrigated, offering great pasture for the 200 cow operation. The Ranch has an abundance of water with 440 acres and 2 springs. An approximately two acre pond serves as a reservoir to the pivot and wheel lines.
In addition to the above, the Pallesen Ranch has a 150 cow Forest Service Summer Permit, and an additional two leases in addition to the forest service lease, one is a state lease and one is with a property owner near the ranch.

As mentioned above, the ranch has plentiful water with 440 shares and 2 springs, as well as a reservoir spanning roughly 2 acres that is used to supply the wheel lines.

Location

The Manilla area and its proximity to the Flaming Gorge Recreational area provides for development potential for this property. The ranch property offers stunning views of a broad and picturesque area, only 56 miles from the Green River/Rock Springs area and 65 miles from Vernal, Utah through the Ashley National Forest.
